Monotype Fonts

New: View assets using a specific font family or style

We’ve added a new way to view the assets (like font lists, web projects, or digital ads) where fonts are used across your work.

You can now view all assets that use a specific font family or font style directly from its detail page. This improvement helps you understand font usage at a glance and reduces time spent searching through asset libraries.

What’s New

  • A new Assets tab is now available on Font Family and Font Style pages.

  • You can view all assets that use the selected font family or style.

  • Assets list updates automatically when fonts are added or removed using the details page.

  • A clear empty state appears if no assets use the font yet.

User Roles and Permissions

  • Company Admins and Limited Admins
Can view all shared company assets that use the selected font family or style, including folders.

  • Division Admins and regular users
Can view only the assets that they have permission to access.

Why It Matters

This feature helps you:

  • Quickly identify the assets where fonts are used

  • Improve visibility into font usage across your organization

  • Save time when auditing assets or preparing for projects

Enhancement: AI Search now supports Imported Fonts inventory

We’ve expanded AI Search to allow natural language searching across your Imported fonts, in addition to the Monotype Fonts inventory. This enhancement aligns with Monotype Fonts’ inventory aware AI Search capabilities described in recent product communications.

This update helps teams search their proprietary font assets and Monotype Fonts’ inventory in one place, improving consistency and speeding up font discovery.

What’s New

  • Inventory scope selector
Choose All your inventory (both Monotype fonts and Imported fonts) or Imported fonts directly from the AI Search interface.

  • Company‑level Imported Fonts
Imported fonts remain company‑specific, matching your existing inventory assignment model.

  • Request access for restricted Imported Fonts

Some Imported fonts in your company’s inventory are available only to certain users or teams.

When AI Search returns one of these restricted fonts, a Request access option now appears on the font card.

Users without access can request permission directly from the result card, and the request is routed to the appropriate company admin for approval.

  • Smarter Results
AI Search now delivers recommendations based on the selected scope while maintaining the natural‑language intelligence.

Enhancement: Family‑level production font marking

Admins can now mark or unmark entire font families for production directly from Browse and My Library, eliminating style‑by‑style actions and ensuring all styles appear in Font licensing section with full production details.
