What does fonts leaving soon mean?

Fonts leaving soon page shows fonts that are expected to leave the Monotype Fonts inventory within the next 90 days. This view helps you review the impact of delisted fonts on your project(s) and asset(s) impact early, understand where fonts are being used, and decide whether to preserve, replace, or escalate before a font leaves.

Some fonts include post-termination rights. For eligible customers, these rights may allow continued production use even after a font leaves the library when the font is marked through the required workflow before a font leaves.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't I see all the fonts leaving the Monotype inventory?

The Fonts leaving soon page from My Library only shows fonts you actively use. For the complete list of fonts being removed from the inventory, see the Delisted fonts article.

What does 'actively used' mean?

A font is considered actively used if it appears in your Font Lists, synced fonts, downloads, Web Projects, or favorites within your account or organization scope.

What happens if no action is taken before a font leaves?

If a font is not preserved for production use before the removal date, access is removed. You will need to replace the font in your active projects or contact the support team to enable the usage.

Can I sync or download a font after it leaves the inventory?

No. Once a font leaves the inventory it is no longer available for syncing or download unless it has been preserved for production use through a support request.

Will fonts in active web projects or digital ads continue to display?

Yes. Fonts already deployed in active Web Projects and digital ads continue to render correctly even after the font leaves the inventory.

Tip

If you are unsure whether a font can be preserved for production use, contact support before the removal date. Check the Resolve action for each font to see what options are available to you.
