How can I organize my fonts
There are four main ways you can organize your fonts:
Font lists: Used for desktop fonts, this is the most basic font grouping tool you can use to organize your library.
Web projects: Similar to font lists, web projects allow you to group web fonts together for web projects like websites. Web projects can be deployed online with page view tracking.
Digital ads: Like web projects, digital ads are another way to group web fonts. Digital ads can be deployed online with impression rate tracking.
Folders: Organizing your font lists, web projects, and digital ads in multi-level, nested folder structures allows you to streamline your library.
You can also find your personal favorites list and a list of all your synced fonts under the Activity section of the My Library section.
How can I use font lists to organize my fonts
Font lists are one of the many font grouping tools at your disposal for organizing your font library. You can add fonts to font lists to share them with the other users (both individuals and teams) working with you on your creative projects.
How do I create a font list?
To create a font list, begin by clicking the Create new button in the sidebar.
Next, select Font list from the Create new dialog.
Enter a Name and, optionally, a Description for your font list.
Finally, click on the Create button.
Your new font list will appear in the sidebar. Click to open the fonts in the main view. You can now start adding fonts to your new font list.
How do I add fonts to and remove fonts from a font list?
You can add individual font styles or entire font families to your font lists using the Add to button, which you can find by hovering over the font style or family.
You can add font families and/or styles to lists in bulk from the browse page by ticking the boxes beside the desired font families/styles and clicking the Add to button.
The Add to button is also available on all font and family pages on your search results, as well as your Favorites and Synced Fonts list.
To remove fonts from your font lists, hover over a font row and click on the cross-shaped icon on the left end of the row.
What are web projects?
Web projects are an organizational tool with sophisticated subsetting and font-hosting workflows. To learn more about web projects, click here.
To create web projects, follow the same steps outlined in the section titled "How to create a font list," but select Web project instead of Font list. The process of adding fonts to/removing fonts from a web project is the same as adding/removing fonts from a list. Please note that bulk actions are currently not supported for web projects.
What are digital ads?
Like web projects, digital ads in Monotype Fonts are another grouping option for organizing your font library and preparing your web fonts for use in HTML5 ads. They provide the same subsetting and font-hosting capabilities as web projects, but they also monitor usage of your fonts based on the impressions your HTML5 digital ads make when you deploy them on various ad networks.
To create web projects, follow the same steps detailed in "How to create a font list," but select Digital ad instead of Font list.
To add fonts to/remove fonts from a digital ad, follow the same steps outlined in adding/removing fonts from a list. Please note that bulk actions are not currently supported for digital ads.
How can I use Monotype Fonts with Google Ads?
Google Ads only supports Google Web Fonts for now and does not allow custom font uploads.
Use the following steps to use Monotype fonts with Google Ads:
Import the required fonts from Monotype Fonts to tools like Google Web Designer, Adobe Photoshop, or Canva.
Design your ad visuals.
Export the completed image and upload it to Google Ads.
Using the above steps ensure that your ad displays with your chosen font style, maintaining brand consistency within Google Ads' font restrictions.
How do I organize fonts using folders?
You can use folders and subfolders to neatly organize your font lists, web projects, and digital ads within a multi-level, nested hierarchy.
Note that fonts cannot be added directly to folders or subfolders. Fonts must be added directly to a font list, web project, or digital ad.
How do I create a folder?

Afterward, click the Create button. Your new folder will appear in the left sidebar.
You can create a subfolder and add font lists, digital ads, and web projects by clicking the Add folders, font lists… button below the folder name.
How do I move font lists, web projects, digital ads, and folders?
To add a new item such as a font list, web project, digital ad, or a folder/subfolder to a folder, click the Add folders, font lists… button below the folder name.
To add an item to a folder, click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) icon beside the list’s name to bring up the action menu. From the action menu, click Move.
