How to Use WhatTheFont on Monotype Fonts

Introducing WhatTheFont, a revolutionary tool that allows users to easily identify fonts used in any image or artwork. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use this feature on the Monotype Fonts platform:

Step 1: Access your Monotype Fonts Dashboard

To use WhatTheFont, navigate to Monotype Fonts and sign in to your account. Once you are logged in, go to the dashboard. In the search bar, you will see a camera icon. Click on this icon to be taken to the WhatTheFont tool.

Step 2: Upload Your Image

Once you are on the WhatTheFont page, upload the image of the font you would like to identify. You can upload an image from your computer or use the URL of an online image. Make sure your image is high-quality and that the text is clear and in focus.

Step 3: Select the Text

After uploading the image, select the text in the image that you want to identify. This will allow WhatTheFont to isolate the specific font you want to identify.

Step 4: Identify the Font

After selecting the text, click on the “Identify” button. WhatTheFont will then analyze the image and provide you with a list of font options that match the text. You can then select the font that you want to use.

Step 5: Sync the Font

After identifying the font, you can then sync it to your Monotype Fonts account by clicking on the "Sync" icon next to the font name. This will add the font to your account and make it available for use in any design project. Alternatively, you can favorite it or add it to a list to come back to later.

Step 6: Use the Font

Once the font is synced to your account, you can easily access it and use it in any design tool that supports Monotype Fonts. Simply select the font from the list of available fonts in your design tool and start mocking up your design.
